Meet the Leaders of Team Sharp

To run a grassroots campaign requires community investment. These are the individuals committed to Team Sharp's success.

Britt Booram

Treasurer

Britt's background includes nearly 10 years of recruiting top talent, from all over the US, to central Indiana. At the heart of Britt's practice is a desire to help individuals and families navigate major life decisions that turn their life/work, home, and investment dreams into reality. With two children in IPS, she is committed to working towards a stronger district that continues to offer high quality education. She is passionate about supporting and retaining teachers, schools having the resources they need, and most of all students pouring into all students allowing them to achieve their educational goals.

Emily Adamson

Emily Adamson is a mom, substitute teacher, community organizer, and data professional dedicated to building stronger, more connected communities through education, collaboration, and service. Emily is passionate about supporting children, families, and schools through inclusive programming, relationship building, and community engagement, and has a commitment to lifelong learning.

Emily Slomski

Political Strategist

Emily Slomski, M.A, MS.Ed., is a learning and development professional dedicated to advocating for and co-building safe, healthy, equitable, inclusive, and educated community. She brings her AmeriCorps service and years of teaching middle and high school in public, public charter, and private schools to her advocacy and organizing work specializing in strategic planning, performance evaluation, and legislative analysis. She is also a proud member of the Emerging Leadership Project's '25-'26 cohort.

Lauren Palmer

Communications Chair

Lauren Palmer is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Director of Communications at the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana since December 2023. With a strong background in marketing and communications, Lauren has been the Director of Communications for Indianapolis Moms Blog since March 2015, where efforts have focused on expanding event programming and engaging the community.

Megan Hise

Volunteer Coordinator/ Techie

Megan has been a change agent since her days at IU. Now with a child in elementary school, she's bringing her labor and community organizing skills to the movement to champion public education in Indianapolis. While she’s always looking at how technology can make organizing sharper, she’s a firm believer that good old-fashioned talking to people is still what gets the goods. Outside of her proud support for public schools, Megan loves sketch comedy, digging in the dirt, and getting lost in a good book.
